If you are asked for specific verification for your "Google Pay card" (the tokenized number that Google Pay generates for your device) when using Google Pay on Bitnovo, this is an additional security step. It focuses on the unique identifier that Google Pay uses for your device.
Why does Bitnovo need to verify my "Google Pay card"?
This additional verification serves to:
- Confirm authenticity: To ensure that the Google Pay token you use is legitimate and linked to your identity.
- Prevent fraud: To add an extra layer of security, especially on your first purchase or if our system detects unusual activity.
- Comply with regulations: Certain payment regulations require this confirmation of the tokenized payment method.
Steps to verify your "Google Pay card" on Bitnovo:
For us to approve your transaction, if necessary, please send us two images:
- A screenshot of your card settings in Google Pay showing the Virtual Account Number (or "Virtual card number") associated with your card. Generally, it will only show the last 4 digits.
- Example: In the Google Wallet (or Google Pay) app, select the card and look for its details to see this number.
- A screenshot of your online bank or a photo of the physical card where your name as the cardholder and the last 4 digits of the physical card number associated with your Google Pay are visible.
With this information, our support team will perform the necessary checks and proceed to authorize your purchase, allowing you to operate with Google Pay without issues.
